Partner Program

A full week of daily activities has been organised for accompanying persons coming to Melbourne with ICALEPCS delegates.  You can book the full program which includes a Sunday night welcome function ticket and a Tuesday night conference dinner ticket, as part of the registration process. Alternatively, you can book individual welcome function, conference dinner tickets with the registration, or separate daily activities using the tour booking form.

The cost of the full accompanying partners program is $795.

On the final day, Friday, the penguin tour bus will be departing the City at 3.00pm but also stopping at the Australian Synchrotron at 3.45pm to allow anyone who has visited the facility to also join the penguin tour.

Daily Activities

The best way to discover Melbourne is on foot with an experienced walking tour guide! The guide will take you on an eclectic journey through this most exciting city. You will discover laneways, arcades, obscure treasures and much more. A little history and attention to amazing architecture will inspire all visitors.

Cost: $50 pp, based on a minimum of 20 people.
Includes: Guided city walk, coffee, gst.
Times: 9.00am to 12.00pm.

HS koala 1Wildlife & Wine – Tuesday October 20th 
Travel through to the north-east of Melbourne through the rolling hills of the Yarra Valley to the Healesville Sanctuary, home to more than 200 species of native animals in a natural bush setting. Enjoy a guided tour of this outstanding facility before lunch and tastings at Yering Station.

Cost: $170 pp, based on a minimum of 20 people.
Includes: Transport, entry to & guided tour of the Healesville Sanctuary, wine tasting, main course lunch, glass of wine & coffee at Yering Station, guide, gst.

Discover why Melbourne is referred to as the Garden State. With a wide array of gardens located in and around the city, it’s an oasis of green. The largest of these is the Royal Botanic Gardens, ancestral land of the Koolin Nation and here you’ll enjoy an aboriginal heritage walk that explores their rich and thriving culture.

The Queen Victoria Market has been the heart and soul of Melbourne for more than a century. A historic landmark spread over two city blocks, it’s a vibrant and bustling inner-city Market which serves the needs of the locals and increasingly, many visitors. It also provides a terrific snapshot into Melbourne’s multi-cultural fabric. Relive over 130 years of Melbourne’s vibrant history on this heritage tour and gain an insight into Melbourne’s Market culture.

PenguinsPenguins – Friday October 23rd

Enjoy the antics of the world's smallest penguins at fascinating Phillip Island. The sight of Australia's largest fairy penguin colony emerging from the surf and waddling up the beach with food for their young brings howls of delight from an enthralled crowd.

Cost: $165 pp, based on a minimum of 20 people.
Includes: Transport, entry to Penguin Parade, dinner, guide, gst.
Times: 3.00pm to 10.45pm.
(NB: Those at the Australian Synchrotron tour will be able to get the bus to the penguins as it is scheduled to collect delegates as required).
